ALPFA Nashville
ALPFA chapters drive local impact, offering dynamic networking, mentorship, and career-building opportunities to support personal and professional growth.
Dear ALPFA Nashville Members, Friends and Supporters,
ALPFA is here to empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation, in every sector of the American and global economy. I always start with this statement. Why? Not only because it’s OUR mission but because I really TRUST it. ALPFA Nashville is here to develop LEADERS and help them SUCCEED.
Probably one of the questions that I’ve heard the most since I started my journey with ALPFA Nashville is: “Why Nashville, don’t we have enough Latino organizations in town?” My answer is always the same. ALPFA Nashville is not here to compete with others but to add value to our community. We have several other Latino organizations in town and they’ve been doing and will continue doing a terrific job.
However, we still think that with all the changes that Middle Tennessee is experiencing in the last few years, such as the significant growth of business and the number of corporations looking at Nashville as a great alternative to be their new home, we are experiencing an increasing need for multi-cultural, multi-lingual leaders to support business’ global growth and, in many cases, support the growth in Latino market.
Here is where ALPFA Nashville plays a critical role.
We will concentrate our efforts in developing and improving the Latino talent through our Leadership Development program.
We will support corporations to diversify their procurement base and small Latino businesses finding corporate customers through our Latino Business 500 program.
We will help businesses to find the right Latino talent by preparing our college students and creating NETWORKING opportunities for recruiters to meet them.
Is this an easy task? Of course, it’s not. But I’m extremely confident we will succeed with the support of our members. If you want to be part of these efforts come and join one of our committees. We need our members to be part of our efforts. Working together we will really make the difference.
I don’t want to finish without recognizing the hard work of our Board and Corporate Advisory Board members. They’ve been silently working to develop our chapter and putting together quality events that you will enjoy, I promise!
Sincerely,
President, ALPFA Nashville
