divERGe is ALPFA’s enterprise-ready leadership program for Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders. The program is designed to equip ERGs with the strategy, tools, and influence needed to operate as drivers of business value, talent development, and organizational impact.
Delivered through a multi-phase experience, divERGe combines immersive learning, executive coaching, and peer collaboration. Participants strengthen their ability to align ERG strategy with business priorities, influence senior stakeholders, and translate ERG leadership into measurable outcomes and career-relevant leadership capability.

- Enterprise-Ready ERG Leadership Development: The curriculum focuses on positioning ERGs as strategic assets strengthening governance, sponsorship, and alignment with business and talent priorities.
- Applied Strategy, Tools, and Frameworks: Participants work with practical templates, planning tools, and governance models designed to professionalize ERG operations and support long-term sustainability.
- Executive Presence, Influence, and Advocacy: divERGe develops the skills ERG leaders need to communicate strategically, secure executive sponsorship, and influence decision-making across the organization.
- Applied Practice & Reinforcement: Learning is delivered through immersive in-person sessions and sustained virtual engagement, ensuring insights are applied directly to participants’ ERG and organizational contexts.
- Cohort-Based ERG Leadership Community: Participants learn alongside ERG leaders from multiple industries, building a trusted peer network that supports collaboration, accountability, and shared problem-solving beyond the program.

- Enterprise-Ready ERG Strategy & Governance: How ERGs evolve from activity-based groups into enterprise-aligned structures. Participants examine governance models, role clarity, succession planning, and strategic alignment with business and talent priorities.
- ERGs as Business Drivers & Talent Accelerators: How ERGs contribute to recruitment, retention, leadership pipelines, and organizational performance. This topic focuses on positioning ERGs as strategic partners and articulating their business value to senior stakeholders.
- Executive Influence, Sponsorship, and Stakeholder Alignment: How ERG leaders build credibility and influence across the organization. Participants strengthen executive presence, advocacy, and sponsorship strategies to elevate ERG visibility and impact.
- Data-Driven ERG Leadership & Impact Measurement: How ERG leaders measure, communicate, and scale impact. This topic emphasizes KPIs, dashboards, ROI storytelling, and translating ERG activity into executive-ready insights.
- Sustainable ERG Leadership & Career Mobility: How ERG leadership translates into long-term impact and professional growth. Participants focus on leadership sustainability, avoiding burnout, leveraging ERG experience for career advancement, and building future-ready ERG leadership pipelines.

Part III: Virtual Learning
The virtual phase continues the program’s impact with quarterly sessions designed to deepen participants’ knowledge. This phase also integrates tailored coaching sessions, providing expert guidance to help participants apply what they’ve learned and cultivate thriving ERG cultures.
